O Cheese, Where Art Thou?

We are often asked where our cheese is available for purchase. Some days we wish we knew! We pack it up and send it out - fifty pound here, 100 rounds there. Only occasionally do we actually know where it ends up. We know it is available weekly at our six Washington and Oregon farmers markets (listed with links and maps on the left side of our blog). And it has been and most likely will be carried in most (all?) of the main players in the natural and specialty food marketplace throughout Washington & Oregon. Still, inquiring minds want to know where is the cheese? In a moment of inspiration we have decided to once again turn to you: devoted lover of handcrafted natural sheep and cow milk cheese, friend, fan or follower depending on the electronic medium of your choice.

For those of you too busy to accept our earlier invitation to serve as a Willapa Hills Cheese Ambassador (see our earlier post and thanks to all who have embraced the fullness of the invitation), we bestow upon you the less strenuous (but no less crucial) role of Willapa Hills Gorilla Marketeer! As Willapa Hills Gorilla Marketeers you have two tasks before you:

First, when you visit a cheese counter and fail to find even an ounce of Willapa Hill Cheese, take it upon yourself to invite the cheese monger to take an examination of conscience, confirming their innate desire to actually carry some of the finest sheep and cow milk cheeses that they will ever taste. Inform them that peace of mind (and conscience) is a phone call away through their local rep from our Northwest Distributor DPI Specialty Foods!

Second, we ask that when you do happen upon our cheese in all its humble majesty, you drop us a line so that we might make its discovery know to all. Your contribution to our new "Cheese Sightings" section of our blog will enhance the cheese consciousness of the Willapa Hills community of cheese lovers. Just reply to this post or send us an e-mail and we will list the relevant information for all to see.
